It’s puppy love

Welcome back!

puppy-love

Yep, it’s official, we are getting a puppy.

After much thought and the fact that my friend Jane posted about her Golden Retriever, Betty the Blonde having puppies, I have decided that I AM ready for  the responsibility of a  family pet.    This was confirmed  before we saw the puppies today and fell in love.  I would not let cuteness be the reason for my decision.

We’ll be able to bring our “Honey” home the first week of June.   Consider this our celebratory gift of summer vacation.

I’ll be prepping my home and learning all I can about Golden Retrievers over the next month.  If you have any tips for training please be sure to comment.

Blog Week March 15th thru 19th 2010

Perfect timing!

This will go hand in hand with my new “Get Blogging” email series I just added to Moms Business Network.   It’s filled with all sorts of great information about blogging,  e.g., how to start a blog , how to get traffic, how to have fun and profit.

Have you been wanting to jump into blogging but feel overwhelmed by all that’s involved in getting started?  My friend Kelly has a great opportunity for you to make the leap in style.  All the hard work of installation and theme set up will be done for you - you’ll even be able to watch!

It’s all part of Blog Week - a special event running from March 15th to
19th.  You won’t believe the deal she’s put together for you.  It includes
you domain, three months of hosting and a blog set up.

Empty Nest Now

emptynest

Thanks to my good friend VickiG for her witty response after I reported to her that I turned in my key to the former Birdsnest Boutique building yesterday.  She called it the “empty nest” when I said the BirdsNest was gone.

Anyway, I just sent this notice out to the BirdsNest mailing list:

The BirdsNest Boutique closed in December 2009.
We are all cleared out of the Newport building and we have said farewell
to what was an awesome opportunity and experience.

Maybe someday soon, we’ll be back in a new location, but for now we invite you to follow all of our businesses by sharing links to our websites so you can always find us.

Here is a list where you can find some of the great items we carried in the shop.

Thanks so much for all of your support!
